Why does Kindle open the last page of the book which I have already completed? It happens with each and every book I complete reading. How do I clear the page read?

There is a feature in Kindle called Furthest Page Read. With this, you can pick up reading the book from where you left. This feature is not only for the particular Kindle you are using, but you can have this feature if you access that book in another Fire tablet, or Kindle device or Kindle reading app which is registered with the same account.

If in case you do not want this feature, you should clear the furthest page after you finish reading that book or magazine. Now, let us see how to clear this:

  1. The first step is going to Manage Your Content and Devices by clicking here.

  2. Then find the book for which you want this feature to be managed. Check that book’s box.

  3. Then click on the Actions button > choose the option Clear furthest page read > confirm your selection by clicking on Clear Furthest Page Read button.

This feature would have got synced to all the devices.
