Authority to manage pregnancy leaves

 Issues concerning pregnancy leave time are covered under the Family and Medical Leave Act 
(FMLA). FMLA leave is generally unpaid leave. However, an employee may elect, or an employer 
may require an employee, to substitute the employee's accrued paid leave (if available) for some or all 
of the FMLA leave period.
