When I turn off my Asus laptop and turn it on, the Ethernet port of the laptop does not light up. Even the Ethernet driver is not seen on the desktop. This issue has been surfacing in my laptop off late. Please help me solve this issue.

Do these when the Ethernet port of your Asus laptop is not working or not powering on.

  1. Go to the Device Manager and remove the LAN port.

  2. Turn off the laptop and then turn it on.

  3. Now, the laptop would show that a new hardware is found.

  4. Then use the hardware and search the net for a driver.

  5. In case you are not able to find a driver using that hardware then use the driver in your laptop that you already had.

The final option is to buy a pci ad-in ethernet card. Then while you use this disable the internal one found in BIOS.
