When I created the power of attorney, I appointed my nephew as the attorney-in-fact. But due to certain unforeseen circumstances most of the time he is away from the country. What do I need to do in this situation ?

POWER OF ATTORNEY

While creating the document , it's always advisable to appoint an alternate or substitute attorney in fact. An alternate attorney-in-fact works as the best replacement when the original attorney in fact is unwilling or is unable to act o n behalf of the principal. The document must also say that when one of the attorney-in-fact dies, other can act solely in his capacity as attorney-in-fact.
