Interesting Gadgets at CES 2017
Consumer Electronics Shows in the past, have been a launchpad for many new gadgets in the electronics market. This year too, at the January event, we had some of the cool gadgets unveiled at the show. Let’s look at them here.
Razer Project Valerie

The displays are themselves 17.3-inch each with 4K resolution and underneath, it’s powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080p GPU and also features NVIDIA Surround View with 11520 x 2160 resolution.
Triple display laptop for gaming is something every gamer would love to use and Razer Project Valerie is desirable. Since the laptop shown is a concept, we have to wait for Razer to officially launch a model based on this concept.
PowerRay is an aquatic drone that can help you with fishing or exploring the sea underneath. PowerRay can be controlled using smartphone app or a separate controller via the iPad or even with gesture controls.
PowerRay also supports VR Goggles and so, you can have a view of the aquatic culture under the water. Another utility of Power Ray is taking pictures using 12MP camera that includes burst mode.
PowerRay provides detailed information such as how fishes are distributed, the temperature in the water and the water depth.
Even when using the drone in extreme whether conditions where there is no light, the pre-installed LED lighting can capture detailed photo and record videos as per needs.
With 1080p real time streaming, the PowerVision VR Goggle can be used to view the underwater world.
While there aren't much information available currently, the PowerVision is quite a novel concept and when brought to sale, can be a boon for those who pursue fishing as their hobby. It can also be handy for people who study underwater archaeology.
Toyota Concept I
As cars are becoming intelligent with semi or purely autonomous capabilities, it is no surprise that Toyota showcased a concept car at the CES 2017. Dubbed as Concept-i, this futuristic smart car has a friendly personal assistant that learns the driving habits and ensures a safe journey.
The heart of Concept-I car is Yui, the AI (Artificial Intelligence) system which acts as a link between the driver and the car. Yui can read the driver’s emotions, anticipate the next actions that needs to be taken, while on the move. When needed, Yui can replace a driver and safely offer a ride to your destination without manual operation.
What Toyota emphasizes is that interaction or the bonding with the car should take priority over technology. A car that’s more of a friend, than a high-tech self driving machine, is what the Concept-I is all about. We can expect the future cars to look or function like the Concept-I, but we may have to wait for a couple of years to drive one.
