Image Title : 2gig CT100 Thermostat
That price! The first ever reason to mention. A bunch of useful tech falling under $100 is no joke.
C-wire or no C-wire, it works either ways. No C-wire is no more a problem, for it can run for months together on AA batteries.
It’s compatible with almost all of home HVAC systems. It did sound weird to me, but that’s atleast what the manufacturer claims.
It carries the traditional thermostat looks. This would go well with your home than some of those futuristic-looking thermostats, cos our homes are not ready yet. At least not mine.
It’s got a backlit touch screen with big fonts making it easy to read and also offers some on-unit interactions.
There is a huge deal of openness to integration with this thermostat. We’re talking about Z-Wave home hubs such as VeraLite, SmartThings, Wink and others for centralized control over your home devices.
In addition to all of that, it just simple and straightforward. There is no messing up with any learning algorithms or geofencing to make the best of this product.
The Press-on touch screen seems a little outdated, especially when you’re used to just touching your touch screens.
The on-unit controls are kept minimal, so there is more navigation to do with the app.
- Top of all, you will need a Z-wave hub if you don’t have one already. So that adds one more hub to the one that exists in your home.
