Wider Screen Coverage

With a large screen, multitasking is easy. For this, Samsung offers Multi-Window mode where two apps can open at the same time. This is useful to view the map while playing music. Another noteworthy feature is "Optimized for lists" which ensures less scrolling when viewing a social media feed or a gallery of images.

With regard to performance, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 10nm mobile processor and 6GB RAM. The internal memory capacity is 64GB and also available in 128GB and 256GB configurations with additional memory support.

To ensure superfast data transfer at gigabit speed, the phablet is equipped with Gigabit LTE+ and Gigabit Wi-Fi. For gamers, the Note 8 supports Vulkan API to ensure performance without affecting battery life. For audiophiles, the Note 8 features earphones (in the box pack) with 11 woofers and 8 tweeters.

Some of the official images look stunning and give a glimpse of what the Note 8 camera is capable of.

Other noteworthy features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 includes expandable memory (up to 256GB), wireless charging, water and dust resistant (IP68-certified, 1.5m up to 30 mins).

Security features include biometric authentication using which, your eyes, face or finger can be used to unlock. Further, the phablet can extend as a PC, thanks to Samsung Dex. It supports Samsung Bixby, the virtual assistant, Gear 360 and Gear VR.

Initial impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 favoured the Infinity display, camera’s capabilities and overall performance. However, the phablet is also for its very expensive price tag.
