I’ll list down the top ten keyboard shortcuts which I would use in my Asus laptops.
Windows Key + C: This would open up Charms menu.
Windows Key + X: You would open up a menu of system options, like Windows Control Panel, Command Prompt, Task Manager, and File Explorer.
Windows Key + I: Open the Settings menu of the current app. When the Internet Explorer 10 is open, this would open the Internet options. Go to Start menu and then open OS settings.
Windows Key + Q: Opens the apps search menu so that you would be able to search the list of installed programs.
ALT + F4: use to shut down your laptop quickly.
Windows + R: you can open Run. This can be used for opening folders (by typing in c:\Program Files (x86)\etc.), Office apps (by typing in powerpnt.exe), Device Manager (by typing in devmgmt.msc) and so on.
CTRL + scroll: use this to change folder views, which can increase the icon size and change views.
Windows + LEFT/UP/RIGHT: in the case of wanting to use multiple monitors as this would snap the windows.
Windows Key +Number Key (1-9): you can use the taskbar by pressing these keys and do any application on the taskbar, where 1 would activate the leftmost taskbar icon.
Windows Key + . (period): The Windows 8-style application that is open can be moved to the right or left. This depends on the number of times you press the key.
