Now that Vera has started offering new optional services, will monthly fees be required? I wish they upgrade on that too, given the immensely good support they have been offering.

Gladly, they don’t do that monthly billing anymore. I read on their site that they have now stopped their monthly charges as a gratitude of all of their devices being sold off. The Vera App is always free and you could also self-monitor your Vera system without a monthly fee.  

Some of their coolest add-on services will be VeraProtect Professional Monitoring Service, that provides added capabilities to your Vera system at very competitive prices. This is comparitively lesser than the alarm and cable-TV company offerings.

Long story short, irrespective of how many ever additional services you have, your basic services still continue to work without a monthly fee being charged. Happy buying.
