Is it possible that my appointed attorney-in-fact can bequeath my money or property without my permission?

POWER OF ATTORNEY

There is a possibility that the agent you choose to handover the power of attorney may abuse the position by bequeathing your money or property without your knowledge or permission. Chances are that the property could also be mortgaged and until the time you realize this, agent may have absconded with all the money out of it. In situations like these, it becomes very hard for the principal to recover money or property.
