Well, in my case when my Kindle had this freezing problem, I tried resolving it by even doing a reset in vain. I’d tell you what you should do if such a thing happens
Take the back cover with a small flat screwdriver.
Check whether your circuit board is intact. If the screws of the circuit board are not intact fix it.
Then remove the battery and you will find a connection from the circuit board below it.
Check whether the connection is secure. If not push the connection and you would hear a click indicating that the parts are joined.
Now, your Kindle will start working.
