In order to use the Remote Desktop connection to connect to the Windows desktop remotely, I would require a password. I finished setting up all these steps except this one. Can you tell me how to set a password for my user account so that no one else would be able to access my account except me?

Getting connected to another computer that runs Windows from your computer also running Windows through same network or the Internet is called Remote Desktop Connection. This feature is available for Windows desktops. So read on to know to set the password.

You would require a password for you to connect remotely to another computer.

  1. Go to Start > select the option Control Panel > find User Accounts and double click on it.

  2. Find Change your Windows Password and select it.

  3. Then you would have to click on Create a password for your account. Now, you’d get a set of instructions which you would have to follow to create a password for your user account.
