FMLA and child care

Yes. The eligible employee need not be the only one available to care for the family member in 
order to be entitled to take FMLA leave. Spouses employed by the same covered employer may be  
limited to a combined total of 12 weeks of leave during a 12-month period for leave taken for certain 
specified reasons.
