I was a Lawful Permanent Resident ("Green Card" holder) who left the United States for quite a while. Can I still return to the United States using my Green Card?

As a Lawful Permanent Resident you may not stay outside the United States for more than
one (1) year unless you get a re-entry permission from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS) before your takeoff from the United States. Else, you are considered to have
relinquished your status and should either be re-requested of or apply for a Returning Resident
Visa.
