I bought an Asus Eee laptop recently and since I always use shortcut keys to navigate, I want to know what are the function keys that I can use to cut short the time taken to type in my keyboard?

These are some of the function keys that are used in Asus Eee computer for function and control.

Fn+F1

Standby mode. You can resume your work by pressing the Power button.

Fn+F2

Turns on and off the wireless card as well as Bluetooth.

Fn+F3

Decreases the brightness of the screen.

Fn+F4

Increases brightness of the screen.

Fn+F5

Switch the display between Eee PC screen and a VGA Device (monitor or projector) attached .

Fn+F6

Runs Task Manager.

Fn+F7

Mutes.

Fn+F8

The speaker volume is decreased.

Fn+F9

The speaker volume is increased.

Fn+F11

The Num lock is turned on and off.

Fn+F12

The Caps lock is turned on and off.

Fn+Ins

If you are using Linux, then this would run the Print Screen.

If you are using Windows, then this would copy the screen to the clipboard.

The Linux desktop is seen.

Ctrl+Alt+Del

Take you to Task Manager and reset your computer.

Ctrl+Alt+Backspace

To do a reset immediately in Linux
