How do I connect my First Alert 2-in-1 Z-Wave Smoke Detector alarm to WiFi? I don’t seem to have a stable connectivity. What could be the reasons?

The following things might happen if your have your alarm added to a Onelink Account that lost its connectivity. So check on them.

  • Make sure your home Wi-Fi network is still connected to the Internet.

  • Remove any other connected devices that might be obstructing your connection to the WiFi. Because these products might be using a 2.4 GHz wireless signal which needs enormous bandwidth.

  • Also try temporarily moving or unplugging any baby monitors, cordless phones and wireless video equipment.

  • Check on the distance of your offline Onelink alarm from your Wi-Fi access points. Make sure your router is set to 2.4 Ghz and not to 5.0 Ghz.
