When you feel that transferring your data from old phone to a new one is a cumbersome task then you can go wireless and transfer data using a simple app.

If you are looking for something that transfers your contacts, bookmarks, and apps then Google account would be sufficient. But if you want to copy your old SMS/MMS messages, pictures, music, and other files then use Samsung's Smart Switch Mobile app to transfer content from one Samsung Galaxy phone to another wirelessly. And this is what you do to transfer:

  1. Click here and install Samsung Smart Switch Mobile app.

  2. This app should be installed on both the Galaxy devices.

  3. To transfer wirelessly, both the phones should be placed within 50 cm of each other. Now, launch the app on both devices.

  4. Then tap on Connect button on any of the device to initiate the connection.

  1. After the devices are connected, you can see a list of data types for you to transfer.

  2. Choose the data that you want to copy > tap on Transfer button.

  3. Now, on the device to which you are transferring, you would have to Accept the transfer by tapping on OK.

Tada! The transfer is over. Exit by tapping on Done button.
