Concept of aiding and abetting/accessory

A criminal accusation of aiding and abetting or accessory can as a rule be brought against any
individual who helps in the commission of a wrongdoing, however lawful qualifications vary by state.
A man accused of helping and abetting or accessory is normally not present when the wrongdoing itself
is perpetrated, but rather he or she knows about the wrongdoing before or sometime later, and may aid
its commission through exhortation, activities, or money related support. Contingent upon the level of
contribution, the guilty party's investment in the wrongdoing may ascend to the level of conspiracy.
