LG’s Wi-Fi-connected smart home appliances can now be controlled using voice commands via Google Home speaker. Besides, it can be controlled using Google Assistant app in iOS or Android. Earlier, LG partnered with Amazon Alexa to control its smart devices using voice command. And this time, its Google Home.

Consumers who buy LG’s Wi-Fi connected appliances between October 8th and October 25th, as a promo offer, LG provides free Google Home device. However, only one Home speaker is allowed for purchase per household.

For example, users can instruct Google Home to increase or decrease the temperature in LG’s Wi-Fi connected fridge. Another example is, users can know the time left before the washing load is done, from Google Home when connected to LG’s connected washing machine. Similarly, LG air purified, paired with Google Home can let you know the air quality at home.

Apart from air purifiers, washing machines and fridge, Google Assistant also supports smart devices of LG such as dishwashers, dryers and vacuums. In total, LG has 87 Wi-Fi connected home appliances that can be controlled using Google Home speaker via Google Assistant.
