You will come across options to endorse your contacts for specific skills in LinkedIn. Since it is built into the system it is easy for you to endorse your contacts.
When you see a screen along with a prompt for endorsing four different contacts for a skill then you have several options to choose from:
Click Endorse All 4 button for endorsing all four contacts at the same time. If there is an option View More, you would be able to see a screen of all the four contacts and a skill for you to endorse for each one.
If you want to endorse a particular person then click on individual Endorse links found below each profile picture. For this, you can select one endorsement from the four. As you finish endorsing by clicking on Endorse, you would get a new skill and a contact to consider.
If you do not want to endorse that particular person you click on the X in the top right corner and close the option. Now, you would get a new contact and a new skill for endorsing that contact.
If you do not want to endorse at all you can click on the Close button (X on the top right corner of the big box).
As you are looking at a particular contact’s profile, you would be presented with a blue box for you to endorse multiple skills for that contact. If you do not get that box you can bring it up by clicking on the drop-down arrow found next to the Send a Message button > then select Endorse Skills & Expertise. Now, when you see this box:
If you want to endorse all the skills click on the Endorse button.
If you want to endorse all the skills except one then remove that individual skill from the list and then click Endorse.
If you want to add an individual skill to the list and endorse all of that click Endorse and then type in the Type another area of expertise area.
If you do not want to endorse click on Skip button to stop the process.
Before you endorse a skill think carefully as you have to be honest about what you are endorsing.
