Can an out-of-state divorce be enforced to the other spouse who lives in another state?

In case one spouse meets the residency requirement of a state or nation, (having lived there from six
months to a year), the divorce obtained there is valid regardless of the fact that the other spouse lives
elsewhere. The courts of all states will recognize the divorce.
